April is a proud native Detroiter with a passion for her city! A believer in Christ, April stays true to one of her favorite bible scriptures, “I Can Do Anything Through Christ Who Strengthen Me,” (Philippians 4:13)

April is a graduate of Wayne State University in Detroit, MI., with a BA in Speech/Communications. She has over 10 years of broadcast experience in both the small and large markets. April started her career as an intern for WJBK FOX-2 news. During her time there she left such a good impression, the Assistant News Director hired her shortly after as an Assignment Desk Editor, where she worked for 5 years.
While in school, she worked as a News Room Assistant at WLNS TV-6 in Lansing, Michigan, where she did everything from news writing, editing, and running the assignment desk.

After a short time as a traffic/news reporter for I-heart radio, more recently, April has been living her dream of being in front of the camera. She started her Reporting career at a local cable news station in metro Detroit, and after just 6 months moved up to a medium broadcast market at WNEM TV-5 in Saginaw, Michigan.

In less than 2 years she worked her way home to Detroit, and since November 2019 has been a Reporter/Multi Skilled Media Journalist for CW50 a CBS owned station in Detroit. You can catch her doing what she loves weeknights at 10.
