After a 26-year absence, the National Association of Black Journalists returned to Detroit in August 2018 to hold its annual convention. More than 3,000 journalists and media professionals spent three days in the city attending workshops, seminars and related events. Detroit NABJ, as the host city chapter, offered convention goers its own series of convention related events. To welcome convention attendees to town, the Detroit Metro Convention and Visitors Bureau produced a video touting the highlights of Detroit.
