Detroit NABJ celebrated its 40th anniversary on Sept. 24, 2023 with a gala and roast at MotorCityCasino. The gala, attended by nearly 250 chapter members, supporters, and sponsors, paid tribute to the history of the chapter and those of its founders and leadership over four decades. Chuck Stokes, a veteran journalist and editorial director at WXYZ-TV was the honoree roasted by four friends and former colleagues.
